BrielleEmma

hello lovely ladies. I am Brielle and I am a crossdresser who has been struggling with my inner feminine desires for my entire life. After 60+ years I am finally starting to address these inner desires, but am looking for a lot of help and support along the way. I am truly just starting my journey, and to be honest I am bit terrified of it! I am so very excited and happy to be part of this community and I look forward to connecting with fellow crossdressers. I do love female fashion and beauty, and am somewhat smitten with Emma Watson's beauty.

Welcome to the site, Brielle. Firstly... girl I get that you're nervous. We've all been there. But it's okay. *big hugs* You're among friends here. Starting your journey is perhaps the most exciting time. Doesn't matter about age. That's literally just a number. You are never too young, or old, to be you.

It's okay to be scared. And it's okay to be you. You'll find a lot of folks who get you here, okay? You found a family you didn't know you needed. <3 I was going to say some folks will be along shortly to give you the lowdown on site rules but Lori is always sharp as a velociraptor's talon. "Clever Girl!" ;)

Most importantly... thank you for being scared and doing it anyway. That's the definition of courage. So... I think you'll be okay, Brielle. You have the most important qualities of a person inside you.

*massive hugs*

Lauren. <3

Welcome, BrielleEmma! JK Rowling aside, who isn't smitten by Emma Watson? Sephirah said it so beautifully: you opened the door to Susan's Place despite your fear. So did I. And I am so glad I did.

Hi, Brielle.  Welcome!

It is okay to be nervous.  We all were on our first posts.  I started at 62, and many other folks here started at similar ages, so you are in good company.

Listen to Sephira.  She is a very smart lady, and she is right (as usual) about this.

Enjoy your time here.  Ask questions.  Join in discussions.  You are among friends here.

Welcome BrielleEmma!
It can be quite intimidating to wear women's clothes as there are so many choices.  Go to Kohl's and they have several separate departments for women's clothes.

One way to figure out sizing is to go to a 2nd hand place like Savers or Goodwill and try on different ciothes until you find clothes that fit.  Write down the labels and look them up online to see who sells that brand.  Sizing is usually consistent within a brand.  But you have issues like Vanity sizing in which one companies size 0 will be another's size 2.

I found an online store that sells nightgowns that way. Carol Hochman.  The PJ top  I bought had really tiny buttons.  The newer clothes they sell are much more practical.

Yeah and none of you girls come across that way. Kathy, I've known you for ages. I am convinced that for a lot of folks... finding yourself takes 40 years off the clock. :)

Hi, Brielle! I'm late to the table in welcoming you as well as getting an even later start in finding myself. It wasn't until I was 68 that I began this amazing journey of self discovery. You are among friends, you are valued, you are loved and you are brave. You've taken that first terrifying step by baring your soul. Not it's time to explore, to ask questions and to live your life with joy. I look forward to getting to know you.
With much love,

 April

Hi!

   Welcome Brielle!

Chrissy
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Welcome Brielle,
It takes a lot of courage to reach out even to a community as this. Congratulations. I started my journey at 60 and after a lifetime of hiding it, I was so nervous even posting here that someone might find out about me. My heart was pounding and my breathing up. Its normal. Fast forward 2 years and I have had my bottom surgery and am out all the time and love it. You are among friends here and hope to hear more from you.
Hugs Gina

Hello Brielle and a warm welcome,

There are many older trans people here, so much so we've been experiencing quite a flood of new members in their sixties and beyond, so you'll find plenty of empathy here and much shared experience. For people who grew up before the word transgender existed, before the internet and in the days when it was almost impossible to find any information, a site like Susan's seems a miraculous thing and it is!

Welcome and please take a look around, because there is so much we can share.

It is natural for those of us who are 60+ to be afraid of coming out.
Most of us remember Corporal Klinger of M*A*S*H on television as it was the most popular show at the time.
The last episode set a viewing record in 1983 that has only been surpassed by Superbowls!
He crossdressed in an attempt to get out of the military on a Section 8 discharge.

Now it isn't hard to find restaurants where I live that openly support the LGBTQ+ community.

For a long time Klinger was the only trans person on TV I can recall (in the UK), outside of comedians who did drag segments like the infamous Benny Hill. I'd forgotten about that character.

Brielle Emma!

Welcome Aboard Sister!

We can live so much of our lives letting our fears hold the steering wheel to our life... We can often realize after many decades of living that our fears didn't steer us to where we need to be... Kudos to you for the courageous step coming here and seeing that perhaps you can now ask your fears to take the backseat as it is now your turn to drive... 💕🚗💕

You have many fellow travelers here to go on this greatest of adventures with... This journey is one best traveled with friends at your side and you are amongst friends here! 🌻

May Your Journey Be Blessed 🙏

Onward Brave Sister!

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸
