Dear Susan's Place Community,

After decades with our previous logo, I'm thrilled to share something truly special — our brand-new Susan's Place logo! This redesign has been a labor of love, and I want to take a moment to share not only the updated look, but also the meaning behind every element.

✨ Why a New Logo?

As our community has grown and evolved over the years, I realized the original logo — though created with care — no longer fully reflected the inclusive, welcoming, and affirming space Susan's Place has become. After decades with the same design, it was time for a visual identity that truly honors everyone who makes this community what it is.

🎨 The Design: More Than Just Pretty Colors

You'll notice the "SPTR" design — the first letters of Susan's Place Transgender Resources — but the meaning goes much deeper:

Each color represents a vital part of our transgender family:

💗 Pink (S) – Trans Women
💙 Blue (P) – Trans Men
💜 Purple (T) – Genderqueer
💛 Yellow (R) – Nonbinary

Together, these four blocks form a unified whole — just like our community. No matter where you fall on the transgender spectrum, you are seen here. You are valid. You belong.

The soft, pastel colors were chosen to feel welcoming and approachable — creating a space that feels safe and comfortable for everyone who finds their way to us.

🏛 A Professional Look for a Trusted Resource

This new design reflects our incredible journey — from a grassroots forum into a respected, multifaceted resource. We now partner with healthcare providers, advocate for our community, and serve as a trusted hub of support and information. This logo honors that professional growth while still holding onto the warmth, care, and community spirit we're known for.

🌱 Looking Ahead

This logo is more than a rebrand — it's a renewed commitment to our mission: to be a place for everyone in our community. Whether you're questioning, transitioning, supporting a loved one, or simply searching for understanding and connection — you have a place here. And now, that place is beautifully represented in our visual identity, too.

I hope you love it as much as I do. After all these years, it feels incredible to have a logo that celebrates the beautiful diversity, resilience, and unity of the Susan's Place family.

**What do you think of our new look? I'd love to hear your thoughts and reactions in the comments below!**

With love and pride,
Susan

I liked the pin-up girl or Vargas girl (one or the other,) but it was time for a different logo.

I've been a user on and off since 2005/2006 maybe? It's true that we are alot more diverse now, and I think the new logo reflects that.

Hi Susan

I first joined in early 2010 when the pin‑up logo greeted me each time I signed in.  I left late 2012 then returned in early 2024 to see that familiar image still holding its place.  Seeing the new look today was a surprise but a pleasant one.

I remember reading about the origins of that original logo.  The story behind it was a good one and I enjoy that we now know the story behind this new design too.

The pastel logo feels fresh inclusive and welcoming. It captures our community's spirit far better than the old design which, although iconic, no longer could. It will take me a little while to stop expecting the classic graphic yet I already appreciate how the new colours and shapes reflect the diverse group we have become

Thank you for the update.  This thoughtful evolution honours our roots while looking ahead.

Best Wishes Always

Very nice and fresh. The new logo looks great. The old gal looked like she belonged on the side of a B29. Beautiful but not inclusive. New logo is more appropriate!
