Hey!  Thanks for thinking of me.  I'm sitting in the hospital room right now waiting for my surgery time.  Should be a couple of hours from now.  I am SOOOO hungry.  I start to think about what my first real meal will be once I can eat again, but I have to stop, it makes my stomach growl!

Hi again all,

Oy Gott, it's been two days now since the surgery, and I'm approaching lucid again.  The pain was absolutely awful from the bed (back pressure from having to stay in the same position) but it seems to be getting better since they upped the dosages.  I might not have to break into my percocet stash I brought from home.  Anyways, I can't write so well now, just wanted to give an update.

Being stuck in bed is no fun. See if its ok for the nurses to turn you on your side (with a pillow between your Knees) I did this for the first few days and after that I could do it myself.

Don't be afraid to ask for painkillers, they won't know you need extra unless you ask and they will help you sleep. You are unlikely to get hooked on opiates in just a few days.

You will soon be up and about anyway.

Hang in there Lia!  Do everything they say.  Couldn't you ask for anything stronger than the P vitamin , like the happy liquid, for instance?   Take care of yourself.  All of this will be over before you know it
