AlisonM

Good morning, I began my transition last month as an obese man and just yesterday ordered my first dress. I have an online Mistress who has been encouraging me to see myself as I am, a woman.  She and I love each other and as soon as I can sell my house, I plan to move to California to live with her.

I am excited to make the change to be in a place where I can freely express myself without fear of judgment from those who don't understand me.  My first experience was as a teenager when I tried on one of my mother's bras and have squelched the inner "voice" that kept identifying me as a woman, trapped in a man's body.  I have purchased a variety of lingerie that I love to wear when home alone but I am anxious to get my dress so I can, in my mind, finish the transition to female.

I would like to thank you all in advance for all the support and love that I know I will be receiving and fully intend to also give.

Lovingly yours,
Alison M

Looking at this introduction thread, I see you've received lovely welcomes and warm wishes. Here's a perspective that might add something different:

Alison, starting transition at 65 brings unique strengths that younger folks often don't have — life experience, financial independence, and the clarity that comes from having lived long enough to truly know yourself. The decades you spent with that inner voice weren't wasted time; they gave you the wisdom to recognize what authenticity means to you now.

One practical thought: as you're planning this major life change with the move to California, consider connecting with local trans communities there before you relocate. Having established support networks can make the transition to a new state much smoother, especially when you're navigating so many changes at once.

Your mention of finally listening to that inner voice after all these years resonates. There's something powerful about reaching the point where self-acceptance outweighs fear of others' opinions. That kind of personal strength will serve you well in the journey ahead.

Looking forward to hearing how things unfold for you.

Welcome Aboard Sister!

I wish you all good things to you as you seek out what you need to make your life your own and I hope you love it here in California! 🌻

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... Hi Alison

My name is Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!

I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.

Thank you for sharing your story.  Your message shows a deep sense of self-awareness and strength.  It's moving to hear how far you have come and how ready you are to live openly as yourself.

The love you have found with your Mistress is clear in your words.  She supports you, helps you see your true self and shares a deep connection.  She sounds like your guide and the love of your life.  Your plan to join her in California is full of hope.

Your courage in embracing your identity after years of silence is powerful.  That first dress is more than just clothing.  It marks a moment of joy, freedom and recognition of who you are.

Thank you for offering your support as well.  You are stepping into a new life with openness and love and that deserves nothing but respect.Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members.

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Please keep in mind when posting that this is an ALL AGES PUBLIC Forum and the internet never forgets.  Do not post anything that you do not want to be made public.
