... and she was completely unfazed. She basically said, "Okay, yeah," and assured me she was cool with it. Then, we hugged, exchanged "I love yous" and went back to playing Pokemon Go. 😆

If they're all this easy, this'll be a breeze. 🤣

That is fantastic, Zoey. And an affirmation that the majority of people don't spend their lives hung up on who people are. The scant few people who aren't the same way... instead of feeling bad about yourself... think about the issues they have in their lives to not be okay with it. Then it will all be a breeze, honey. Be you and love being you. Other people only have power over you if you let them. <3

Above all... remember: you are beautiful, you are valuable, and you have a shining spark of magnificence within you. Don't let anyone take that from you. Embrace who you are. <3

The hard part for even the most accepting parents is to change pronouns. For many it just isn't going to happen no matter how hard they try.

Yeah, I expect pronouns to take a bit of adjustment, but for the moment, this is a big step for me, and it was far less emotionally complicated than I was expecting.

That is wonderful news, Zoey.

I had the exact opposite happen to me with my family. At least my parents are making an effort. Not so with my siblings.

I hope the rest of your family is as accepting as your sister!
