When the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) announced the 172 nominees for its 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards a few weeks ago, one of the many people surprised to hear the New York-based non-profit had changed its policy to allow lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media outlets to submit their wares was Michelle Paradise.
