For the thirty police Diversity Liaison Officers from around the country who attended yesterday's Big Gay Out picnic in Auckland, especially those from smaller centres, the country's biggest annual LGBT gathering was a chance to more fully understand the depth and variety of people and cultures that make up their gay communities.
