Feb. 11, 2008 - The National Transgender Advocacy Coalition (NTAC) is saddened to report the passing of Rep. Tom Lantos on Monday (D-CA) from complications due to esophageal cancer. The longtime congressman from suburban San Francisco had recently announced he'd not seek re-election due to his illness. Rep. Lantos was 80.
