LGBT CINEMA

From early, openly queer flicks such as Victim, through the work of landmark filmmakers Derek Jarman, Todd Haynes and Gus Van Sant, to the recent mainstream success of Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain, gay-themed films have provided some of the most memorable images in cinema history. The impressive programme for this year's GFF further showcases the capacity for LGBT-interest cinema to transcend generic boundaries.
