Building on the success of previous years Blackpool Pride will again take place over the weekend on May 17 and 18 to co-incide with International Day Against Homophobia, with the highlight of the festivities centered on the town's iconic North Pier.
Organisers of this year's festival have said that they are aiming to make it the biggest and best yet.
The launch of the annual lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transsexual event was held on January 31 at the Mardi Gras cabaret club and hosted by Stella Artois, one of the town's most famous drag queens.
