Hypatia,

I am a fighter - I do not get to where I am with any skill.

I decided that I did not need to rush things - there is very little fight left in me - it is just a matter of time before I get to where I need to. I will ensure I do not fight myself any more - just ensure things go forward at my own pace.

I get what you're saying; I wish you all the best and a smooth, safe journey. You should definitely take it at the pace that feels safe to you as long as you're able to hold back. But don't be surprised if eventually the thing sets its own agenda and then makes you obey. It's f***ing implacable. You may find it stepping up the pace on its own soon. When that happened to me I was begging for mercy... but I sped up in accordance with its demands. I hope it treats you more gently... but I recommend you be prepared to handle accelerating intensity. Ready or not, here it comes.
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride

*Puts on Armor.

I will be ready - the major huddles are behind and I am ready to go where it takes me.
