What i like about being female:

(aside from the obvious that i am which everyone feels the need to point out here)

I can be more in touch with my emotion, i can god damn cry when i god damn want to 
my body is a work of art (in progress) There is nothing more beautiful than the female breast, its just, so pretty and perfect (mostly)
Dont get me wrong, male bodies make me drool, but the female body is beautiful.... beyond equal...
Guys are chivalrous to me, opening doors, helping me, might not need it, but its sweet.
Freedom to dress as i please, for females, theres very little that = crossdressing.... I can wear boys jeans and still look good So many styles and choices for how i want to look, i can express my personality in my clothes.
Whats the best thing?
One day ill be a mother...
I dont think there is any greater joy for a woman, than children, hers by biology or not.

I like being pretty. However, I'm learning that men can be pretty, too, so I think I'm good.

And really, female orgasms. Hmm. Annoying. It takes me 45 minutes to squeeze one off and I'm really not into it. Orgasm by penetration is another story but I don't have an active enough sex life for it to matter. So, not really digging much about it.

Seriously now, I'd have to say that being female feels much more free than being male although I don't know if the fact that we live in a better era for females (than, say, the middle ages when being male was the shiznit and being female something to put up with) has something to do with it.
Regardless, I'd take being female to being male anytime though, warts and all. Being opressed, women have developed an interesting class consciousness that brings them together as nothing I experienced on the male side. Still it should be said as I think Jamison Green pointed out, m2fs experiences of what it is to be male are colored by their dysphoria so they are not really reliable as an unbiased opinion of the male condition. I honestly don't really know what being male is other than my experiences and observations as an outsider chained by biology.

Rambling and off-topic. I'm probably too biased to give a good answer anyway, after all I have transitioned M->F. I'll go with my first answer

Well I must say that I love who I am as well.  It's a totally different feeling that can get way more profound than before. 

As I remember more of my past, all the way back to when I was a child, I can remember the feelings I used to have as a child quite profound and all encompassing of the environment around me. I have found these very same sensitivities reawakening within me. The more I look as far back in early childhood as I can, I am better able to see a girl growing up to be a young lady.

I guess I was one of the fortunate kids to have wonderful loving parents, I never told them but I believe they knew about me and I was encouraged to be an independent person and they would be supportive of my decisions.

The only problem is my sensitivities spelled much hardship in my life mostly because people were not seeing who or what I was. After I resumed my journey to be who I should have been it was much easier for me to continue the journey. I feel good, I feel right and what's more is I am regaining the sensitivities I had started out with, and I embrace them.

I can't describe how it feels but I have a picture that I can identify with when I have those feelings. After living as Cindy full time for the past going on 8 years I can't remember what I looked like before. Ironically I don' have any photos of the previous me.

i love who i am, the way i look, the way im treated, and just everything. most of the time when im out and about i feel like im a princess and thats pretty much the way everyone treats me

well, certainly there are alot of psychological benefits with transitioning, but i wouldn't want to suggest, however, that those benefits are exclusive to male to females.

personally, i feel that i didn't even have access to important parts of my psyche before transitioning. but i did have the feeling that i was disconnected from some part of my mind that i didn't want to be disconnected from. it's a terrible feeling!

now that i am about 8 months on HRT, i have such a profound sense of inner peace, that i just can't explain it. it has made my transition so worth it. don't get me wrong, i can still act like a dope, at times, as some of you know  .

but i have little doubt that FTM's get a similar positive effect when they start getting their gender identity crises straightened out.

so there's that, and also i love my girly hair, i love barrettes and my blouses, i love wearing panties, i really like my booty, i love my breasts, i enjoy working on my nails, and on my eyebrows.

I'd be able to control all chaos if I had inner peace. I'd be able to react to things that went on, and let the situation flow out of me versus barreling into me. Its usually the turmoil inside of me that allows the outside world to erode me, and reform me into this twisted, horrible person. So... Hopefully I'll get that too eventually. Im able to express myself without the fear of being shunned for a response or expression of my emotions. Overall I enjoy being female because thats who I am.

Hi Ell I really feel happy for you hon. It is a new world that we are exploring. Actually as I stated earlier in another post I am not the same person, my characteristics especially how I think have changed HRT has also very much honed my sensitivities and my capacity to love especially with Wing Walker being the teacher. And of course intuition. Have a wonderful night. But none of this surprises me much for I already knew who I was when I was a child.
