CandleinthedarkAll of these victims were young, all were trans women or gender variant in some way, and all were people of color. These murders send a message of hate and fear to the larger community. Mainstream society leaves LGBTQQ and allied people few spaces to fully respond to that message- to mourn these deaths, to be angry, to experience solidarity.
