Hello,
I wonder how much hormones affect sex drive (with a man). I know that reducing testosterone, your sex drive is reduced. But what is the effect of female hormones on a male's sex drive? Do they help you (like on womans body) enjoy sex and want to make sex? I know that the body's and breast's sensitivity is increased (I guess from estrogens) so there must be some sex satisfaction I guess...
I'm gay and I have a relationship with a man, I'm not afraid of losing my erection (since I have passive role on sex) but the need of having sex

Testosterone obviously makes you have more of a sex drive than estrogen does.  I don't think I'm far enough along where I can compare the two sex drives for obvious reasons. . . but I don't know.  There's always that sorta like urge thing on your mind with all the T, and when it goes away you won't think about it or want it as often probably.  Like I said though, I don't really know.  I don't do relationships for obvious reasons right now.  I'm sure the drive for sex depends on a lot of variables like the partner, situation, romance of it all.  You can't just base wanting to have sex on hormones. . . because that's not how it really works. . .

I don't miss anything, infact I think things are better on HRT. I still have a sex drive but it's under control, the way other women react and respond to sexual things...we'll that's how I respond too.

When I was pre-op, I was on a massive dose of estrogen and anti-androgens.  My libido was reduced to nothingness, and I really didn't miss it at all.  Post-operatively, I am still on estrogen (a much, much lower dose than before).  The anti-androgens have been discontinued, and  my libido has returned with a vengeance, but I don't mind.  My body matches who I am now, and sex is not a nightmare like before anymore...

For me about two weeks in had a greatly reduce sexual drive and that was just hormones. When I started taking spironolactone and dutasteride my sexual drive was totally gone. I never had much to start with. Most people will be on spironolactone for the first couple of months before starting the hormones.
