Hi! My name is Marcie.

I'm a pre-OP 18-year MTF transsexual living in Brooklyn.

It took me a short time I wasnt used to my "male" body. I identified as a female when I was 12  and everything went downhill from there. I couldnt take the hormones — my parents said I was too "young" for that, so as an adult, I started the hormones last month.

Everythings been going great so far except I haven't actually had any support from family, except for my sister.

I dont know how to end this but Im looking forward to meeting everyone!

It's a bummer not having support from your family but all you really need is one good friend to talk to, even that friend is yourself. Around here you will find lots of good advice and also be entertained along the way! Good luck to you!

How long have you been with your therapist and when did he give you the note for hormones?

Hi Marcie. Welcome here, and good on you for going after your dream and being true to yourself. I hope your family comes around, but in the meantime, I hope some of us can maybe fill the gap a little bit.

I've been with my therapist for about a year. She gave me the hormone notes about 6, 7 weeks ago.
