I feel like I've been on the verge of tears all morning so far and I can't figure out why.

I'm not on hormones or anything; I'm still at the very beginning of my "transition," if indeed that's what I'm going through.

But, dammit, I wish I could pull out of this mood!

Awww. Want to talk about it?

Sure, if I could figure out what's wrong.

All I can think of is that were a couple of interactions with people here and there yesterday (YESTERDAY!) that seemed to get my goat. But, that was effing yesterday! Why in Dante's 9 Hells should they still be bothering me today!

Sheesh.

U aint' all by yourself girl,
I get like that 2, from situations that happened months ago.
Like you, I am not on hormones.
I can't explain why it happens but I try to deal with it
by saying, "It's just a mood, it will change.".
I have to learn to deal with it becuz i'm told
that it happens quite frequently and with more intensity during H.R.T.
Take comfort in knowing that there are people out here,
that know what you are going through.

Always Love,
Heather Rose.
"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

You don't need a reason to cry.  Just let it out.

Chin up!

Actually, if the damned tears would just come I'm sure I'd feel a hell of a lot better.

But, the tears will not flow; and it's not like I'm fighting them. I'm not. They're ... stuck.

Damn.

Hello Shades O"Grey,
You might try a good movie like The Notebook or a Walk to remember, maybe even Dead Poets Society.  That works for me. At least it used to.  Now that I am were I am at, it hapens on it's own.  Your not alone.  I'm sure almost all of us have been there.  We are all here for ya.  Like Cindy said, Chin up!

Been there - done that Shade O'Grey,

They will come in bucket fulls if I am anything to go by. It is an emotional time that we all need to get through.

Would you believe that the last time I cried at a movie it was Return of the King? It was when Aragorn knelt before the four Hobbits, saying, "My friends, you bow to no one."

Well, the "verge of tears" feeling has past. But, I never did cry. This frustrates me as I wanted that release. But, I try to keep the frustration in check as then I'm back on the verge of tears again.

Arrgh...

cindianna_jones

I believe that you can learn to cry.  A good actor can do it.

While I'm not an actress of any sort, I sure like a good cry sometimes.  It does get my emotions out without breaking things!

I call it The Wall. I haven't been able to cry properly since my early teens, and not for lack of trying. Things can cause me to tear up, but that emotional release? Never. I believe it's a Testosterone thing. A Testosterone thing I hate more than anything else about being in the wrong body, BTW.

I see the truth of this.

Join a gym with a punching bag, run until you think your legs will fall off, lift weights, or whatever trips your trigger. Just find something active to do.

1. It'll help you release some of those repressed emotions thru the activity. or 2. Your body will be too warn out to fight crying and you'll be able to let it out that way.

Hmm, I'd been thinking of increasing my exercise to decrease my a$s anyway. Thanks for the suggestion.

I know this off the original topic but I was on the verge of tears after this happened...

So I had my mom pick me up from work tonight because my car had a flat tire. Just as we got we notice some guy running with a packback on away from my car. At first we didn't pay any attention because we see people like that all the time. I was going inside when my mom notice that my car's interior lights were on and the wasn't suppost to be. I walked up to it and my car door was opened. Right now, I'm very upset because that is my first car I paid by myself.

My car almost got stolen today.

How lucky for you and your mum to come along in the nick of time, very upsetting though.  Any later and your car would have been gone.  I've had mine stolen from a carpark at a railway station, it was found 1 week later with  different seats and wheels, and in another state!
I hope you feel better soon.

Damn.

I've gone through that before. Most recently it happened at school; I was sitting around in the cafeteria before Advisory, feeling like crap and not knowing why. So I plugged in to my mP3 player, and the very first song just happened to reveal to me how I was feeling; it made crying that much easier.

I dunno, it may be something for you to try if that happens again. It really helps, I think, to let the music speak for and to us sometimes.

:icon_hug: Get better, Dad.

If you have the leisure to do that, your not doing enough today to keep you busy.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Used to cry every single day.

However once my GP put me on Citalopram for depression and it stopped me being able to cry completely. It was really weird and I never understood why... did help me at the time though. :)
