Just wanted to say "hi" from California.  Some of you may know me from other sites but for those who don't:  I am a 50-ish, transwoman, fulltime for 2 1/2 years.  I am scheduled for FFS later this month and for my SRS in the fall with Dr. Reed.  I am proud to be a woman and have successfully transitioned at work at a Fortune 50 company.  I have a wonderful relationship with a gg and our daughter.  I have three boys from a previous marriage.

What else can I tell you?  Actually, if you go to IMDB you can see my credits from a previous life.  ;->  Just search on "Senini".  If there are any new girls out there with real questions, I am here to help.  Oh, and it is just me, but I never did understand the "CD" thing.  I worked in a dress shop for a bit early in my transition and just never got why straight men would be interested in that sort of play - but I am not one to judge.  All of that is to say, I would prefer to correspond with those who intend on SRS one day.

Hi Mads! I'm a new girl in California. I am interested in corrisponding with you. I'm not sure how all this is going, (major confusion going on here) but so far looks like my ultimate goal will be SRS. I could really use some advice and perspective. I hope to hear more from you! :)

Thanks Mads,

Jennifer

Welcome Madison,  I'm from Southern California, near Victorville.  A bit older than you, but oh well.

Hope you enjoy it here.

Is it me, or is the rate of new boyz and gurlz going up?

In particular, I notice (unscientific conclusion) that the percentage of news articles seems to be swinging "in favor of" FTMs.  Are there more FTMs now, or is there just a greater media interst in the guys?

Welcome to all new members.

It's my fault, Robyn. When I was living as a lesbian, lesbian chic came out. Now I'm FtM, and we're suddenly trendy. I guess I'm just a trendsetter ;P

Maybe it was that switch from lesbian to FTM that did it Dennis.

My husband is one of the 'different' FTMs.  He was never lesbian and had 4 children.  He also shuns publicity and was sure we'd  be murdered because my name was splashed all over the Internet (as Media Director for NTAC and TAVA), in Transgender Tapestry and in books to which I contributed.

Anyway, back to Madison.  Tell us more, lady.
