hey,

I noticed last night that my eye lashes were longer. My bottom lashes were hardly visible before- they were visible but just short. Now they are longer and I  noticed that.

Any of you had growing eyelashes on HRT?

I'm at 6 months this is one thing hrt is really working at for me. My bottoms lashes have really grown long. Both top and bottom  seems like I have more lashes some are not growing right in line with the others and don't curve the same way. That my eye lash updated.

I missed this post before but the first thing I noticed after starting HRT was my eyelash growth
so there must be something to it.

Yea. Maybe androgen inhibits growth in eyelashes? or estro helps grow it?

I think it's the Oestrogen. I was on anti-androgens for almost a year before starting E, and no lash growth. But I noticed this weekend that my bottom lashes are notably denser than they used to be.

wow..u must be really happy.........

LOL, it isn't big growth but I noticed some growth. I think these are the things HRT does which people don't notice but see a difference in you.

So far- I still am not passable. But my muscles reduction is so far good and I'm losing wieght . I actaully need to gain wieght...

I will give HRT more time, keep my head high, add progestorone later and maybe even switch to patches or injections...

On HRT, you should loose weight, women of the same size weight less than men.
Its the muscle to lean proportions than change.
Fat takes more space, so even if you weight less, if fat is in the right space
it still occupies more space than the muscle it replaces.

If you are gaining weight, it would mean your eating too much for your
reduced muscle mass which quickly make you overweight and
even have you pile on some weight in the muscle.

Women in general have more and denser lashes than men.
Same thing with eyebrows (but the hair is finer so it may actually look
like less). My eyelashes seem to be denser than before, but
haven't seen changes in my eyebrows, still as bushy as before,
maybe it takes longer for them to change?

I actually have put on weight which from my point of view is better. I have put on weight on my legs and some on my face. But I have lost some weight on my upper body which is good news..

For me it's mostly just a moving around of fat and loosing inches. My weight has been slowly dropping since starting HRT but
I have had to reduce my calories since there is not as much muscle.  I had a small tummy before and it flattend out
since starting. My thighs have gotten a padding pretty much all over and also my lower leg. I also
used to have well defined butt cheeks and they have filled in so that I'm rounded from my crack to the
hip. I also have a layer of fat above my butt cheeks that was not there before. My upper thighs on the sides has
also padded out slightly, I can see it moving up the side. In the past thirty days my measurements have actually gotten
smaller under the breasts by an inch and a half... loosing the delts I guess, my hips are smaller by a half an inch and waist by
an inch. None of this is OMG I'm getting fat type of fat, just nice curves in all the right places and loosing all the boy fat.

All good things :)  And... LOL.... I'm probably watching things way too closely... but it's amazing thing to see :) I hope
I'm not the only one who marvels how HRT works.

I'd be surprised you'd lose 1.5 inch of muscles in a month,
probably more a measurement fluctuation, unless you
had massive muscles. Then a quicker initial loss is possible
since the muscles lose their tonus and there is less fluid
buildup within them.

Muscle mass takes a lot more time than that to be lost.
I've lost 6 inch of under breast measurement but in 21 months
so about 0.8 inch a month, but not a constant speed,
initially, I didn't loose all that much for first 6 months, maybe 2 inch,
.I had quite a bit of upper body muscles on my very small
frame.

It's funny how a topic on eyelash growth morphed into this LOL.

I've been careful to measure the same way each time. I had huge delts and back muscles that are a LOT smaller than
they were a month ago. It may be a combination of cardio and diet but I do think it was really muscle loss. Now my neck
and biceps are still big, not as big.. but bigger than is passable. I was a collegiate athlete (for privacy reasons I won't say
what sport) but it required a big strength to weight ratio but not much bulk.  I got the bulk as I got older... probably a
combination of visceral fat and added muscle. But whatever it was the loss is noticeable... visibly and with the tape and in
the gym.

Amanda

Oops... I got my delts and lats confused... it's been a few years since I did any serious lifting :) My lats are what
shrunk, delts(shoulders) have shrunk too but the smaller lats are what have affected my under bust measurement.

I was a national level athlete in Canada in the late 80's,
but its my lower body that was very disproportioned.
I had the biggest upper legs and buttocks you've ever seen and
had a 1m11 vertical impulsion, I could hurdle badmington nets quite easily...  ;D
And dunking, no problem at all, could put my whole arm into the net. Quite
dangerous really, could really hurt yourself if badly timed.

I had the worse outside shot ever... Worse than Shac I think :-).

It was 40" (google says 101.6 cm) vertical jump for me... I could dunk but from 5-10 it was not very impressive LOL and it
was ALWAYS in doubt. In the day the girls liked my butt... it was my best ass-et :) But finding boy
jeans to fit without rubbing your thigh hair raw was a problem.
