New, and had some questions, kinda long

yeah, I was going to take your advice and wait till the end, no point in messing up near the end and getting into trouble and stuff. My mom's friend said once you get near the end of your active duty they start trying to get you to re-enlist, and negotiate with you to get you to re-enlist, she said thats when you can talk to them about extending your stay and having it use your reserve time, not actually signing on for more years.

I think thats what I'll do, serve my time, get more education *assuming telling me they can pay for school if its in my field isn't a lie* and save what ever money I can. I have a friend who said she is willing to let me live with her till I am ready to go on my own, after I'm done with the military.
