Beacon Hill Stops Casino and Transgender Bills

It was a busy day on Beacon Hill yesterday. Not only did Speaker Sal DiMasi annoy the heck out of Gov Deval Patrick by trouncing the casino bill, but the legislature also killed a series of bills related to abortion, transgender rights, gay marriage, and more.

I can't find anything in the newspapers yet, but MassResistance reports that the following bills were sent to study, effectively killing their chances of making any progress during this legislative session:
