"First off, the assumption that gays and lesbians are discriminated against because they run around ranting and raving about their sexual exploits in the workplace is patently absurd. In fact, it is not what gay and lesbian employees say about their lives in the workplace, but rather the ill-informed and ignorant conclusions about what it means to be gay, lesbian or transgendered drawn by others that spark discriminatory behavior in the workplace. Hence the reason that legislation like the Oregon Equality Act is still necessary."
