I got crossthreaded here a few days after I joined.  I read the rules but missed an important point.

Anyway, I think I have it down pat now, thanks to Stephanie and Susan's patience, and can try to offer support without placing my foot in my mouth.

My apologies for any gaffes.

Robyn,
who is sometimes surprised that she was admitted to the 21st century.

I had a cross threaded lug nut on my car a number of years ago (stupid mechanic with a power driver) and it took me three hours with a large hammer and cold chisel (and a great deal of blue language) to get it off so I could change a flat.

(Not really relevant to your post but I couldn't think of how to reply other than this.)
