I have a question for you, Susan.

Last week I finished reading a book called Out and About on Campus.

http://www.amazon.com/Out-About-Campus-Personal-Transgender/dp/1555834809

The reason I bring it up is because one of the story's in it was about a grad student who was gender-queer.  I approximately date this person's story based on the fact that the internet was referred to but personal computers are never mentioned.  The story tells of him going down into the bowels of the computer center in order to read alt.transgender.  And the reason I bring it up is because one of the things he read was of a person called "Susan" who was a computer professional and had told her bosses that she was becoming a woman.

When I read that, I had a strong suspicion that I knew who that "Susan" was.  So, Susan, did you post on alt.transgender back in the day?  And if did, do you know you are mentioned in this book?

It's possible, but I don't know for sure if it's me or not.
