QuoteREEDSBURG, Wis. (AP) - An elementary-school event in which kids were encouraged to dress as members of the opposite gender drew the ire of a Christian radio group, whose angry broadcast prompted outraged calls to the district office.

Students at Pineview Elementary in Reedsburg had been dressing in costume all last week as part of an annual school tradition called Wacky Week. On Friday, students were encouraged to dress either as senior citizens or as members of the opposite sex.

So what happened to the separation of church and state?

Okay, so kids do a sequence of events over the course of a week, these events are chosen by the student body, the kids have two dress-up options this particular day, and dressing-up is entirely voluntary.

Am I wrong in thinking that these particular angry people are panaroid, possibly paranoid schizophrenics?

Yah think?  Their core beliefs have the effect of closing their mind before the thought, and they can not accept anything outside of that norm.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

What gets me is the Kids chose this...

This is what they wanted to do. They should just leave them alone and let them have fun. Why do adults make such a big deal out of it. The world is what we make of it.
