I don't know how this works in America (or wherever you are from) so I don't know if this sounds weird to you, but I really need advice about what to weare to my final exams.
It doesn't matter at the written exams but at the oral exams you are supposed to dress up. Boys have to weare a full suit with tie and everything and girls (to quote my teacher): "Just dress nice and pretty. Don't show to much cleavages, it makes you look as if you don't know anything and want to get a good grade with your boobs. Just dress in a way that makes the comission think 'Aw, what a cute girl!'"

Well, dressing like that would be about the last thing I would ever want. Even if I hadn't switched to boys' clothes during the last couple of months. Problem is that I'm not out at my school (or even to my parents) and even if I was I would look ridiculous in a suit--beside the fact that I'm not a suit kind of guy, I just don't have the figure for a man's suit (yet ;)).

What I'm looking for now is some alternative that is androgynous enough that I will feel comfortable wearing it, but also conservative and nice enough that even the conservative members of the comission won't give me weird looks. Normally, I wouldn't care so much, but firstly this is a very important exam and people are always influenced by how you look (at least to some degree) and I will be nervous and self-conscious enough even without wearing something I absolutely not want to wear or something that will make everybody stare at me. :-\

I don't know that much about clothes, let alone formal attires, so I would really appreciate any advice from people who know what they talking about.

There are times when you need to be a good dog and jump through the hoop to get the Scooby-Snack.  Going through orals is hard enough without having ot worry about a fashion show too.  Dress plain, simple and expensive, pass the test, change your clothes.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Wear something with a jacket. That'll help with it not looking girly. Something businesslike will be more masculine, like dress pants and a jacket, or a suit.

A shirt with some nice trousers would look good.. You dont need to wear a tye, with the shirt..

I think I will go for that. It's nicely androgynous and I will actually wear it more than just once.

Don't know enough about formal attire to suggest anything, but good luck on your exams!

Thank you, Nero  :D I'm rather clueless, too, but I think it will be alright. The dress code is so much stricter for guys (they are not allowed to go without a tie or remove their jacket if it's hot)--a girl would definitely be allowed to wear trousers and a blouse. No one has to know that my "blouse" is a man's shirt--they will hardly check the buttons. ;)
