Tinkerbell, what you are referring to is only one type of intersex condition.  There are 3 different types:
1. male pseudohermaphrodite
2. hermaphrodite
3. female pseudohermaphrodite

See http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/ency/intersex_states.jsp for more info.

What you refer to is #2, which is where you posess both testicular and ovarian material.  However, #1 and #3 are much closer to being male and female respectively.  Those are the ones I am referring to.  For instance, with the male pseudohermaphrodite, they can have normal XY chromosomes, but the genitalia do not quite develop normally. They may have testes and a female-like vulva, or a very small penis.  Under this definition, I would techincally qualify as IS, since mine aren't quite normal.  However, I am saying that many other features seem to be feminine as well.  I think understood well.

So, intersexed is most definitely the word I meant to use.

Hi Melissa:
Thank you so very much for all the information you gave me.    As you can see, I am no expert on intersexuality, and this is why I gave a general description of the different types of intersexuals  (sorry I did not use the medical terms) :-\
Believe it or not, I have been thinking about this, and after reading 's post, I am more skeptical now than before.   God,  I hate you guys!!!  (in a good way, that is)
Well...there could be a relationship between intersexuality and transsexuality if you consider many similarities there are between these two groups.   So I am going to say  "yes there could be a link" :)
Thank you again Melissa, and thanks to you too,  . ;)

No problem.  Just some stuff I ran across in my research.
