"The Brattle Theatre is in the thick of a repertory series called
"No Borders, No Limits: Nikkatsu Action and '60s Japan." Tonight's big
movie is the insane Black Rose Mansion from 1969, starring female
impersonator Akihiro Maruyama as a chanteuse. Bostonist had the
privilege of seeing another movie with Maruyama entitled Black Lizard,
and if this movie is half as much of a trip as Lizard, you'll have a
wonderful time. Brattle Theatre, 9:30 pm. $9.50. (CR)"
