"I haven't heard of anyone being beaten up in awhile," she said. "It's
getting safe. People are transitioning on the job. There's a
revolution or an evolution. The public and people want to know about
us."

This I just don't get. Saying "I'm a transsexual woman, but I want to keep my dick." Very confusing. And here I can't wait to finally get a body that matches who I am. As a woman, what would I want with a dick, it's as freakish as walking around with an extra nose or something.
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride

LOL... tell us how you really feel about this :)

Something sleeps deep within us
hidden and growing until we awaken as ourselves.

Well I have no problem with this but I don't really think such people are suffering from the same medical condition we are. I mean people can choose to do anything they want with their body but its a more serious affliction for some people than others and they don't really have a choice.

Yeah but they called it "TRANSSEXUAL." What does TRANSSEXUAL mean?

If we get too many women* running around saying they're "transsexual" but don't want SRS, it impacts the ability of the rest of us to win the right to have it covered by insurance, everybody will say transsexuals can get by fine without it, because look at all those self-proclaimed "transsexuals" who say they don't want it.

*Making an allowance for the gents because their surgical outlook is so different from ours.

It's like when you're vegetarian, meaning you don't eat any dead animals at all, and you go somewhere and the hostess says "I cooked FISH especially for you, because you're vegetarian!" How awkward. And they got that idea because of all the self-proclaimed "vegetarians" who say they eat fish (or even chicken). It screws up the definitions of the terms for those of us to whom the difference actually matters.

If I would have said that, this thread would be 10 pages long already with people hating me more than they do now. Just for what it is worth, I agree with you totally. But you said it, not me so good luck.

I tried to say basically the same thing, or along the lines of what you said when that Man got pregnant and now I am a FTM hater. Wonder what you will be.

I don't think the two are comparable, physically, because it just isn't feasible for FTM guys to get surgery the way it is for us, so they can't be held to the same standards.
