I'm looking into a plot near my husband. If none is available, I'll be as near as possible to my Grandmother.
How about you?

Sprinkle my ashes on or near the ocean. No memorial. Let me just fade away into obscurity.

As long as I'm cremated I don't really care.

I want to be cremated.  Half of me will be buried in my family's cemetery in Paris.  The other half... ...I want shot into an EF-5 tornado. I'm fascinated by them, and after I die, I want to go for the ride of my life and be in one of them.  Too wild?

That's a great idea Jeannette. I once wanted to be a storm ->-bleeped-<- so that I could study tornadoes up close. Alas I've only witnessed 3 that have come through my town.

I am to be cremated and my ashes are to be spread about under some young oak trees here.  Someday, in about two hundred years, they will be mature.  It's the closest real thing next to a second life in my mind.

I have told my parents that there is a hands off clause in my final papers. They may have nothing to do with my remains once I die.  I'm also going to rewrite my will and state that if I am not disposed of properly, my personal assets will be given to the local SPCA instead of the beneficiaries listed.

I want no funeral or viewing.  However, if any of my friends wish to have a wake, they are perfectly welcome to do so.  I just ask that they play some good loud rock and roll.

I'm going to be buried in Grant's Tomb, so I'll be the answer to the trivia question.  And, for real, I've requested my ashes be spread in Lake Tahoe.

I want to be buried in a cemetery next to my family and my husband if I ever get married.  Please don't burn me, that's all I ask.  I've been burnt too many times in this life.

Hi Scratchy Wilson, I pray that I never have to find out.

Boy do I agree with you Cindi, Me I would like my ashes to be sprinkled under some big old pine trees like those on the hillside behind the homestead but if not possible then if Wing Walker goes before me then I am certainly not going to give a hoot what happens to my remains, I won't be here anyways. In spirit we are joined as one.

Personally, if money was no object, I want my remains blasted out into deep space.

my final resting place will be pure energy, vibrating so rapidly that it appears to be standing still. until then, i will not get much rest.

I very much like the idea of having the ashes spread at the roots of a young tree. I'm none too fond of the ocean, so that's a no-go.

I hope I will find a place to settle down, eventually, a place that will mean a lot to me, and I would have my ashes spread there so I can stay there forever.

Until they build a new shopping mall on top of me.

Which I would then haunt.

Should be fun!

Take whatever parts can be used and then, cremated if there is enough energy. The ashes if the ashes can be recycled efficiently then do that. After I am dead I do not care what the living do.

I'm having my body given up for medical testing (for future doctors), medical/scientific research and organ donation.

I won't be using it and I think it's a waste for it to just be buried or cremated. Hopefully they'll use up everything.  Anything left over can just be thrown out with other forms of biological waste.
