Definitely non - we made it in high school. I forget what you have to do, but whatever it is, you have to do it properly, otherwise it can make the container it's in explode (from the gas pressure or something). Someone in our class *didn't* do it properly, and there's still a stain on the ceiling above where the bottle had been sitting and spontaneously geysered.

It is possible to make it alcoholic but the more alcohol the less flavor it has

Is anyone here able to compare ginger beer with Vernors, which also is fizzier, sweeter, and spicier than other ginger sodas?

In Kentucky (I almost wrote KY again...we're not a lubricant), we have something called Ale-8-one (that's "a late one"), which sounds like it might be similar to this ginger beer (which I want to try...love ginger drinks).  Mmmm...might have to pick one up tomorrow...
