Same sex couples are better
Washington: Gay and lesbian couples are more likely to have satisfying marital and family relations than straight couples.

This compatibility can be seen in both family issues and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) relationships, says a leading researcher.

Robert-Jay Green, executive director of the Rockway Institute which is affiliated with the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, says that gay and lesbian couples appear to be better than straight couples in respect of two key factors that promote healthier relationships - flexibility about gender roles and equal division of parenting and household tasks.

Ya know, I hat to gloat but this article and research just seems so "duh" why did it take so long?!!

Yes, not having to work around ingrained patterns and stereotypical expectations certainly 'lightens' the load with child-care, housework, dinners, goodness knows what else.

My experience is that the relationship is much more cooperative and 'sharing' with two women.

Of course, never having actually been in a child-rearing relationship with a man, I don't know what the other side is like.
