Mike Hayes, Bob Bolyard, Johnnie Mclaughlin and Michael Glidden, members of Burlington's infamous drag ensemble the House of Lemay, use little more than Scotch tape and shoe shine to transform into their respective alter-egos: Liza, Lucybelle, Marguerite and Amber. Hailing from the fictitious Northeast Kingdom town of "Beaver Pond" (they actually live in Burlington) the House of LeMay has been known to dress in full drag to host benefits, charities and fundraisers. They also write and perform cabarets for events like Higher Ground's annual "Winter is a Drag Ball," which they have hosted the last six years. This year, 1,000 people attended and proceeds went to the Vermont People With Aids Coalition
