Thank you to the people who have replied to my post on the introductions board,

Based on the time I posted my last post and the time the post displayed, this must be an American site, therefore I'm gonna have to use American terms and names for things, should be fun! I don't know that many.

OK,. despite what the Spice Girls used to sing about, I don't know what I want, I look at an attractive woman and what do I see?, a peace of meat to be ogled at? (ogled? That doesn't look right), a sex object to be mentally undressed?. No I see an attractive person, I see great clothes, I see some thing I'm not, I see something I'm going to get depressed about, I see... I see.. I don't know, if the aforementioned attractive woman is standing at one end of a scale I'm standing at the other end, everything she's not.

The location of my flat (doh!) apartment doesn't help, there are 3 schools with in walking distance and on the rare occasion I'm up early enough a whole bunch of school-girls go past, (what is the collective term for a bunch of school-girls?, a gaggle?) any way they look nice in their uniforms, short skirts, blouses, pullovers, blazers, tights (doh!) pantyhose. Kinda makes me wish I was a school-girl, My ex says "no you don't". I do sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I was born a girl not a boy. I know my mum wanted a boy the first time (my older brother) she said she wasn't to bothered what I was but a girl would have been nice, she wanted the next one to be a girl (my kid brother). So if I was a girl I may not of had a kid brother, my dad was in the army and tended to travel around a bit we just went with him (made making friends hard I'm what the U.S. army calls an army brat), being a girl wouldn't of made any difference.

Moved to England, made friends with a boy from school and spent most of the school holidays playing arcade games (I think you call the school breaks, well what ever you call them we spent them playing arcade games), if I was a girl I'll probably would of made friend with girls from school and spent the holidays doing "girly things" and annoying my dad (you not going out in that, etc) and there's a few things I did with mum which I did when I was younger wouldn't do if I was a girl and a few things I could do with my mum if I was a girl which I probably couldn't do when I was younger (I think I better rephrase that or you may get the wrong idea).

On second thoughts, may be not, it'll take to long and this is long enough as it is, I just say "she bought me a girls swimsuit, it was a nice red one" and leave at that. My mum died, my dad sold the house and I moved into an apartment (I remembered this time). There six months moved out and in with my kid brother, ah as I said back there some where if I was a girl I may not of had a kid brother, besides the answer would have been no since a brother and sister sharing an apartment, people will get the wrong idea. Hopefully I would have had a boy-friend by then or a girl-friend.

after that no idea.

I stayed at my brothers for about a year, heard about a sci-fi group in London, which is where I met this girl, sort of moved in with her, had some great times, we split up and I was lucky enough to get this place.

Well we have a lot of different Americans in here, we have lots and lots of people from England, and a few others in Europe, a few in the Pacific Rim - we get around.

Hey the real question is not if we want to take over because of the state it is in , but rather can we afford not to?

Reminds me of the TV show a couple of decades ( okay old fart talking ) ago where the people were standing up and stating:
I mad as HELL and I'm not going to take it any more!!!!!!

So get out there and change it -- make it a better place --- go on I dare you..........

Shazz,

Nice to meet you.  I haven't had time to check out the Introductions lately, so I am glad you made it here to the CD forum.  I am one of the older girls here--both in chronological years (mid 60's) and in longevity here at Susan's (I've been a member for ten years or so).  We are a very diverse geographical community and have had more than a few Brits as well as Aussies, Canadians, and the assorted Americans from all parts of the country.  Use whatever expressions you like and feel at home.
