Thousands come out for Blackpool Pride: Pictures

BLACKPOOL was out and proud this weekend as
around 8,000 people arrived in the resort for the third annual Blackpool Pride festival.
The town was awash with colour as more than 200 people - many dressed as mermaids, stilt walkers and even human penguins - paraded down the Promenade in front of packed crowds at the opening of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual event on Saturday lunchtime.
