Larry Wachowski, if you didn't know, is a MtF transsexual, and is now Lana Wachowski. All this happened way back on 2003 after the premiere of Matrix Revolutions.

Thing is, her name is listed as Larry Wachowski as the film director of Speed Racer.

There is some debate as to this rumors' authenticity.

Some are saying now it is Linda instead of Lana, and also there is rumor it is all fake (their producer even claims it is fake).
There are pictures of Larry, Lana, Linda looking much more feminine than before.

Apparently the two do not like publicity but Larry loves to fool with the press, so I would not put too much into this. They still go by the name Wachowski Brothers.

Its only a slur or insult if a natal woman is called a ts, well that's how they feel anywho.  To call a person transitioning as a transsexual, I don't consider that a social slur, just the truth.

It really has to do with the context it is said in, and the tone.

This is not just big time - but huge time - Hollywood PR stuff, if it looks true, no doubt its not.  And given the reviews of the new movie, I'm sure these days he would do anything to get people's attention off of that.

But there is no PROOF that Larry is transitioning, ergo, its a slur....

The rules for a successful director/producer in Hollywood are not exactly the same as a municipal employee in the South.  For sure on that.  Still, it does not make it true.
