Technically I could never be a vegetarian, because i like cider far to much and isinglass, which is used to clear it is a fish protein...and there is no chance in hell that this girl will give up her cider. I don't eat much meat though...it actually disagrees with me.

I was raised veg, so it's pretty easy for me. But I've tried various bits of meat through the years. I'm not religious about it, and am not made uncomfortable by it.

Over the last few years though I've become much more interested in the local vs. industrial food chain discussion than the veg vs non veg discussion. I much prefer local (organic if possible) food to non-local and/or industrial/factory food.

For me it seems more ethically viable to eat a local natural diet that includes some meat, than to eat a non-local factory farm produced veg diet that wipes out entire ecosystems. But I'm not religious about this either.

You Could Maybe Be a Vegetarian
You may think being vegetarian is a great idea, but you don't have all the tools to get started.
Find a local vegetarian group or buy a few vegetarian books.
Even if you don't go completely veggie, you can introduce more vegetarian foods into your diet!

but i was a vegeterian for 3 years..

I have been a vegetarian out of necessity when I was poor, but I love meat too much.  If I ever have to choose a last meal, it will be prime rib with sauteed onions and a loaded baked potato.   8)
