ANewMe

Being a woman of few words (ha, ha, ha) I'll keep this brief.

Me:

Name:            Holly (yes it's legal)
Identify:        MTF Transsexual (until I'm done)
Orientation:     Lesbian (I've got to admit there are some cute guys out there, but just not for me)
Marrital Status: Married (got hitched while still in guy mode, wife is bi so transition was no problem for her)
HRT:             5 years
Full Time:       19 months (Didn't even realize it when my one year came up)
SRS:             End of next year (if I can afford it)

As promised I'm keeping this short, please feel free to ask if anyone has any questions or comments for me. I'm a very open person, as I feel I've got nothing to hide anymore.

Hello! I just joined recently too! Let's be newbies together.  :-X

My mom's name is Holly... she doesn't like her name. I've tried to tell her it's a nice name!

Good information you've given us. I haven't started HRT at all. And I can't really live full time...  not while my family is so against my transition. I'm 18, so it's a complicated time for me... It's great to see you are so close to finishing your transition~! I get so excited when I see other people are finally reaching themselves physically. :)

Sorry to hear about your transistion woes. Hang in there and just know that things will work out in the end, they always seem to some how. It reminds me a bit of the movie "Shakespeare in Love" the owner of the playhouse keeps saying "Oh don't worry it'll work out, not sure how but it always does, it's a mystery"

How could your Mom not like Holly, geesh out of all the names I could have choosen for myself (which is the strangest experiance) I liked it the best. It's actually kinda funny how the name came to me. I'd been trying to think of a name for a while (months) but didn't want to choose just any name and figured that the universe would some how tell me what my name should be. Then one day out of the blue my wife and I were listening to the radio in the car when some one called into the radio station (can't remember why) but her name was Holly and as soon as she said it my wife and I turned and looked at each other and smiled. She said "Oh yes you are definetly a Holly". It stuck after that and about a year later it became my legal name. Things really do sort of work out in the end some how and you are still so young at least you have that on your side.

Do you have plans to leave home yet? That could change the situation some.

Oh and btw thanks for the warm welcome. I wish I could afford surgery now, I'd be booking tommarow. Well maybe not tomarrow since tomarrow is Saturday but first thing Monday morning for sure... ah who am I kidding I'd send an email today.  I just keep telling myself that things will workout in the end some how.

I probably won't be leaving for another year... -_-;; Things are so expensive here in California and if I'm gonna move it ought to be on foot looking at these gas prices...

I just reviewed those rules, and they really are excellent and reasonable.

Simplest way to put it: Be safe, be tactful, be appropriate, behave.  :P
