"Female fire dancers and all-girl bands took over the park surrounding the Town Clock as lesbians and their supporters celebrated Saturday afternoon.

The 15th annual Santa Cruz Dyke March was held on the eve of the Santa Cruz Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Parade to increase lesbian visibility and activism."
