What kind of dress fits a "Hollywood nights" theme? EDITED

I'm going to my local GBLT Center's "The Other Prom" event this year in just a couple weeks. My actual prom was fun but I never got to wear a dress and everything. Going to prom as a boy and as a girl are two totally different experiences.

Anyway, the theme is "Hollywood Nights" and I'm trying to find a dress that fits the theme. I'm thinking of something like this with strappy heels and big sunglasses or something but I'm not sure:
