One more thing.  I've heard that people who are successful start by taking it 1 day at a time (perhaps an hour at a time the first couple of days).  Then they extend it to 1 week at a time after it's been quite a while and go from there.

Don't beat yourself up too badly Amy, it takes a lot of attempts.

I have some clients who've successfully quit with laser therapy. I've used the patch successfully in the past (you may wonder about my use of the word successfully given that I'm smoking now, but any quitting really is a success and my last one was 6 years).

You'll get there. And good going Tino for staying the course.

I fully understand, Amy.  Don't get too down on yourself.  I had to practice quitting quite a few times before I got it right  ;).

So gather up more resources and try again later!

i'm so proud of you amy, you threw a pack of smokes out the window today!!! you bought nicorette chewing gum, you've made a doctors appointment, you're taking all of the necessary steps in the right direction! thank you for helping me to not start again, i would have been really discouraged and disappointed in myself. you may be a little cranky for awhile, but i know it's the nicotine withdrawl, and i was a super basket case for a week aswell. we'll get through this, it's great that we're making positive changes in our lives....

next step, RUNNING AND BASEBALL!
