NAGLY provides gay teens with ways to get involved

LYNN - Chris Peatridge was a student at Salem High School when he acknowledged his bisexuality and subsequently came out of the closet as a gay teenager.

The revelation cost him friends, but it also led him to the North Shore Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth. Like Peatridge, Jill Dion found a roomful of teens with stories similar to hers when she attended her first NAGLY meeting.

"It provides a safe, understanding environment. NAGLY is your stability," said Dion, a Lynn native who grew up in Peabody and Beverly.
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde
