I was pretty sure my son knew, but today I just decided to sit him down and tell him for real, and tell him that no matter what I'm always his mom, and I'll always be there for him, like it's always been.  I told him it's not a secret or anything.  At first he played dumb like he always does when he doesn't really want to talk about stuff, but then he laughed and said duh, mom, it's so obvious!!!!  LOL

I wanted him to know he could ask me anything.  He's a cool kid and we've been best buds forever (he's my clone, LOL) I didn't think it would be an issue.

My brother is next...I've come within  a mm of telling him twice, and last night my daughter said if he doesn't know he's really dense because it's sooo obvious ::insert teen eye roll here:: (we share a house, my brother, my kids, and I).

Thats' so cool!

How was he with it after the "duh!", lol? Did he ask any questions? Any concerns or worries?

No, no questions, it was more like duh! whatev, I'm cool!  I did tell him if he had any questions he could ask at any time, and he may at some point.  For now he just cares that I'm still me and I'm happy and we're cool.

Good Luck with that..

I'm out with my Kids. They dont really understand the Transgendered thing. Basicly, i just leave them alone and be a parent. So far no issues.

It is funny when I'm in the stores and the Clerks are calling me Ma'am then around the corner run my three boys calling out "DAD DAD".
I Remember i'm a parent first instead of cringing.

It is different once your out.

Good Luck with the rest of your family.

Children can pick up on things a lot better than adults I think.  They are absorbing so much around them that they do notice subtle changes before most adults do.

How cute Robin, I could imagine the scene in the store with your sons.  The clerk would be a little confused.  :)

Congrats Jay! My partner's daughter has known about me all along so I didn't ever have to tell.
