I've had this date provisionally set for a while now but didn't want to make an announcement till I had the second referral letter and confirmation that everything was in hand. In 4 weeks time I'm having SRS in the UK with James Bellringer!
The genital configuration that is right for me is essentially undeveloped/undifferentiated genitalia, I'm going to be reassigned to this state by an operation that's very similar to MTF type SRS but without vaginoplasty. Bellringer has been fantastic, when I first saw him in September last year we discussed all the available options from a complete nullification to MTF type SRS, though I already knew what I wanted, it was just a case of making sure he was happy to do it.
I've been off estrogen and spiro for two weeks now and am on triptorelin injections to suppress testosterone. The initial T spike from the triptorelin was HORRID, but now my testosterone is suppressed again I'm dealing with the menopausal symptoms ok.
I think the next 4 weeks are going to fly by. Got plenty of stuff to organise before I go into hospital. I'm stressing a bit but far less than I was about getting the second psych referral. I had a medical for my Incapacity Benefit a couple of weeks ago (crappy timing!) and am waiting to hear back about that, so my financial situation is a bit uncertain too.
Heh, I don't think it has 100% sunk in yet that I've REALLY made it through and this is REALLY happening. I've been out as trans for over 5 years but spent most of that time convinced I didn't have the strength to make it through transition (persistant depression and anxiety issues had rendered me largely non-functional). SO glad to have proven myself wrong!
