An Equal Rights Victory for ALL New Yorkers

"As a native New Yorker, two stories especially caught my eye this
morning. The first, which I'm sure caught almost everyone's eye, was
Barack Obama's victory over my state senator, Hillary Clinton. This
piece of news will be blasted on nearly every radio talk show, news
station, and will be in bold on every newspaper headline for the next
week—so I, personally, don't feel the need to cover that topic here.
The second piece of news, however, seems to be flying under the radar
for now, but I believe it is something that the LGBT community, as
well as all New Yorkers should be excited about."
