QuoteTo be honest, I posted this not only because I think everyone should read it and know who our next President is going to be like, but also because of a recent situation with someone I once knew. He dated a friend of mine here in Indy and has since moved to NYC. He's extremely misguided in his judgments on Barack Obama. He wouldn't even consider him and says that he is one of the two evils to pick from in the election. He talks a bunch of **** about Obama supporters, all while doing the very things he is speaking against.

I pointed out these fallacies, so he blocked me. Shrug.

You should ask him about Obama's views on GLBT. Apparently, according to him, Obama has never talked about GLBT. NEVER. For serious.

Someone had a little too much of the Clinton Kool-Aid.

Let's see, gas is about $4.50 out here now, went up $11 a barrel in the largest single day increase just yesterday, gas will be over $5 a gallon by the election.  The war will still be going on.  Home foreclosures are at record levels across the board, from trailer parks to Beverly Hills.  The Federal Government is pretty close to broken, the Constitution has been gutted, and we have some people who ought to be held before the bar of justice to answer some pretty heavy charges including treason in time of war and crimes against humanity.

Which is to say, this is not a single issue election.

And you think McCain is going to give a better hearing to these issues?  I doubt it even though his wife does own a distributorship for one of the biggest supporters of gay and lesbian causes.

Ah, you paint such a hopeful picture T! I missed you muchness this past month.

There's a charity over here and in South Africa that publishes a weekly magazine called "The Big Issue", which is then distributed by homeless people. The content is very well written, and tends to be fairly left-wing through to full-on anarchist, so you will find news and perspectives in there you won't find anywhere else. This week, the main feature was a 4 page report into the food-crisis. last week, it featured a little earth-ball with his pockets turned inside-out, asking if the world is broke. You are right, this is more than a one-issue election. The next US president, whoever he is, will most likely be presiding over the collapse of western society. Should be interesting.

I've been asking people this entire election - which has been going on for years now - who in their right mind would even want to be President.

Miss you too my dear Lady A.

For this election, you need to vote for the party platform you best align yourself.  The candidates themselves are of secondary import.
