"What is Gender Identity Disorder ("GID")?

A person's gender identity refers to one's self-identification as a
man or a woman, as opposed to one's anatomical sex at birth. Usually,
people born with the physical characteristics of males identify as
men, and those with physical characteristics of females identify as
women."
