"As she was performing self surgery on her hand, she also began a serious discussion with our daughter, telling her about why I am the way I am and what's going to happen in the future. My oldest told her that she knows and doesn't have any issue about it, and that, because we're her guardians and future adopters, she doesn't want to move anywhere away from us. She knows about Lori, she loves me for who I am."
