I can see that we're going to need to start a rogues gallery oops members gallery - Just kidding it wouldn't be appropriate for this site :)

But nice pic anyway :)

Great picture Cindi.

Steph, some of us are just trying to look our best.  Nothing wrong with that.  You look pretty darn good in your picture yourself.

Some day, we'll get together and see the total injustice that the cameras present.

LOL - My pic is not that bad - pitty I have to spend so much time and money on them. I could never pass without a wig and someone who knows how to do makeup.

If only.  I thought my camera made me turn out better than I look in the mirror.  Just a lucky shot/angle...or maybe it's just my warped view of myself.  :P

I deleted my original reply to your post as I seem to have taken your reply the wrong way.  Having said that, thanks for the compliment.  I know that for many, looks are very important, especially in jobs that enforce a strict dress and appearance codes like mine for example (I'm now even allowed to show my tattoos).  I have a new hair doo which is a radical change from my previous look.  I'm no longer blond, and I had my hair cut, and I hate it.  I have another hair appointment tomorrow with a different hairstylist to try and fix things, they can't make it longer, but they are going to try and improve the cut, and lighten it a little.  I should have left it alone.  Oh well it's only hair, it'll grow,

If I like the new cut I'll post a picture so you all can poke fun at it.

Hi Steph, I didn't mean anything negative by my post and I never saw your original reply.  I was just trying to say that we try to look the best that we can and sometimes it looks pretty good, but it is in no way a competition of any sort.  I don't compare myself to anyone else.  I just compare it to how I used to look.

Don't underestimate the power of hair extensions :).  I hope they can do something with it to make you happier.  I'm scared to get a haircut myself, so I'm avoiding it until it grows longer.

Repeat after me: "Never do that again... never do that again..."

That's how I consoled myself when I did the same thing. Consider it a learning experience to figure out what you really DO want.

At least now ya know!

(but I bet you're still just as pretty to others, even if YOU don't like it for yourself)

Every year, my parents visit and stay with me for 4 to 6 weeks.  Mom used to do hair long ago in a galaxy far away.  Mom can't really do a great job anymore.

Still, I ask her every year to do my hair.  I grow it longer so she can screw it up.  When they leave, I sometimes will go somewhere else and get it fixed.

It's a way I can connect to her.  She likes fixing my hair.  I like how it feels to have my mother do my hair. Surprisingly, this year, she tried something that looked a little rough for a couple weeks.  But by the time they left, I really liked it.  They've been gone two months now and it still looks very nice.

It's nice to have those special bonds, those special moments between mother and daughter, moments to treasure.  I would love to be able to do my daughters hair, she has beautiful hair.
