Post-Op Breast Growth?

My breasts have seem to taken a dive since surgery.  Since then (almost two months post-op), I haven't experienced any new breast growth. In fact, since going off the HRT (I was off for 4 weeks, as per surgeons instructions, 3 weeks before SRS and 1 week after), I lost breast size and I'm now about an A (I used to be a B). I thought that the hormones would start kicking in by now, but I haven't even noticed anything. Losing an entire cup and not even feeling or seeing any re-growth is very disappointing, and I'm starting to feel a bit distressed over it.

Others have also noticed how much my breasts have shrank.

Is this normal? If so, how long does it take for the HRT to kick in again? Has anyone else experienced this?

Currently, my doc has started me on progesterone (prometrium) to see if that helps. I've been on it for a week now, so it probably hasn't kicked in -- other than feeling hungry all of the time and craving dairy lots. *shrugs* Hopefully it helps some.

You transwoman or transman?  Can't tell by the name.
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?

I'm a woman -- if I were a man, why would I care if my breasts are shrinking, I'd be happy if that were the case. Also notice my name, "Natalie," at the bottom of the post -- I don't know any men named Natalie.

 ;D  ;)  ;)

I wouldn't know Natalie.  I had breast implants along with my SRS, but having had dissatisfactory breast results while on HRT, perhaps I wouldn't have experienced any growth after SRS either?  (that is a guess though)

During SRS my breasts shrunk away to nothing.  As soon as I restarted HRT about 2.5 weeks post-op, they sprang back to life.  I've continued to grow since, but there hasn't been a big difference in rate of growth that I can tell.

Ehh.. sorry  :embarrassed:   didn't mean to insult or anything.   Should of paid more attention.

A big positive difference or negative difference?

Well, I meant that besides the "springing back to life" that I attributed to restarting hormones, I haven't noticed the sort of growth spurt sometimes mentioned as a result of SRS.  I think that the rate of growth has been pretty constant.  It's a hard thing to judge, though.

I did not notice any difference at all. I have been on harmones for so long I don't think they would notice 4 week off. BTW I was off for the same time. Dr Bowers
I did feel some swelling of the nipple area afterwards when I started back

Are you taking the same dose as before?

One thing that's interesting is prior to SRS, when you stopped/decreased
estrogen, which induced prolactin production -> milk production
(that's what happens at when you give birth) which makes the breasts
swell for awhile. If the milk is not removed, it gets reabsorbed by the body.
But, the breasts are bigger.

But, when estrogen comes back, that milk production goes away and you
can lose quite a bit of size.
