Peeing myself :(

Okay, yet another question by me -- throwing myself out to embarrassment here, anyway.

Okay, I'm almost three months post op. Peeing normally is fine, but I sometimes get days when I'm walking/running, moving around, etc, and some pee leaks. This is uber embarrassing. I don't totally pee my pants, just some comes out... enough that I have to change my clothes, which isn't always accessable unless I want to always bring extra clothes with me. I have a few times at the start, but good at not doing that anymore -- except for a couple weeks ago when I was really, really drunk laughing my butt off.

So, anyway, from time to time I pee myself a bit -- even though I make sure I visit the washroom lots (and I do, just in case sometimes).

Does this mean that there is something wrong with me?

I keep trying to do some kegel exercises (not sure if I'm doing it right) to see if that helps.

Anyway, this is embarrassing, so I thought I'd mention it. I want it to be fixed, because it's caused me embarrassment several times. It doesn't happen every day, and sometimes nothing like the sort happens for a few days, but then I'll get it one day. Sometimes more than once on that day.

And, yeah, I know I can wear a panty liner, but I don't wanna have to wear one all of the time for the rest of my life.

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? It happens to ciswomen when they get to later middle-age sometimes. It has to do with the walls of the bladder weakening.. it's also more common after pregnancy. If you're concerned you might want to bring it up with your GP, he can let you know if anything's going on.

At a concert once, I yelled/applauded so hard that I peed a little.  ??? And then I laughed, which made it worse. It sucked because I wasn't at home. I hope you sort this out soon, let us know.

It shouldn't be happening at 29! But being only 3 months post-op, it is possible that the muscles aren't at full strength - it DOES use different muscles post-op.

(I have that problem a bit but I am 59 and 34 years post-op.)

It's happened to me too but I'm seeing that it's normalising as I heal.  Have you talked to your GRS surgeon?  With three months being post-op, you must be all healed up by now and this isn't quite normal.

I have had it happen to me. I just try and keep my bladder empty. I am older also, I'm 59 and post op 4 years. It doesn't happen all that much and yes I do kegel exercises.

I pee pee myself occasionally, especially when I laugh and I love puns, so that usually means I can expect a  bit of a dribble now and again. I use pads or or if I don't have pads handy I used a wad of toilet paper to line my panties with. Either way it appears to work our quite well. As for women **GG** using pantie liners is common, my mom use to use them as well. I remember my sister having the dribbles especially when she was doubled over with laughter then she would attempt to get to the bathroom walking cross-legged.

Anyway, she always had that problem even back as far as her late teens that I can remember. Well that is what you can expect from a family of unemployed comedians, pantie pissers. I began having the dribbles for some years, I don't remember exactly when it started.

Sometimes when I'm out and about and have to pee, I will make it to my doorway, or just to the toilet, and then the dam will burst.

I'm middle-aged also, and will try to go to the restroom before heading out, I agree I think it's somewhat
of an age thing.

I'd email or call Brassard/Suzanne about it, just to see what they say?

I was really worried about that myself... about whether I could control it once post-op. But so far, all of 10 days postop, it seems OK. And I've been absolutely flooding my system with fluids since the op, to the point I'm *desperate* to go every few hours.

On the other hand, I know of young natal girls who pee a little now and then when they laugh, cough, etc. So I don't think it's necessarily an unusual thing with some gals.

My ex had the same problem.  She tried everything, peeing before leaving home,  always know were the restrooms were, panty liners then Maxi pads.  Finally she had to have surgery to support her bladder and that finally solved the problem.
